Version assessment-terms-v1
AI Opportunity Assessment terms
Plain terms for the assessment, including the complimentary launch offer. If anything here is unclear, email kelvin@doorstopper.io before you apply.
1. What the assessment is
The AI Opportunity Assessment is a short engagement to help an operating business decide what to automate first and what it would take. It includes:
- a short intake about the business, its tools and the main workflow problem;
- a focused conversation of about 30 minutes by video call;
- a concise written brief with up to three prioritized opportunities;
- a Workflow Teardown of the recommended first workflow: the current click path beside the proposed one, with your own hours-a-week figures shown next to it;
- what can be configured, what needs development, and what remains uncertain;
- indicative effort and economic scenarios only where your inputs support them, with the inputs and assumptions shown;
- a proposed next step, which may be to keep using an existing tool or not to build something; and
- one round of clarification questions by email after delivery.
2. What it does not include
- Production integrations, a custom application, or a working prototype. We may show an existing demonstration where relevant; any new prototype is only built inside a separately scoped and priced project.
- A full technical architecture, security review or compliance certification.
- Access to your business accounts or import of customer data. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or patient or customer personal information.
- Unlimited consulting or revisions beyond the clarification round above.
- Any guarantee of savings, revenue or results. Estimates in the brief are indicative. This does not cover the response targets in section 5, which we do commit to.
3. The complimentary launch assessment
| Offer | The assessment described above at no charge (offer version launch-2026-10-18-v1). |
|---|---|
| Who | Businesses that meet the criteria in section 4. |
| Deadline | Applications submitted by 11:59 PM Arizona time (MST, UTC-7) on October 18, 2026. The submission time recorded by our server decides eligibility. |
| After the deadline | Eligible applications keep these terms even if the conversation and brief happen later. |
| Purchase | No purchase is required, now or later. We do not collect payment details for the assessment and never charge you automatically. |
| Limit | One complimentary assessment per business. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred. |
If we ever need to stop accepting launch applications before the deadline, we will say so on this page first. Applications already submitted keep these terms.
After the deadline, you can still request an assessment. We confirm the scope and any fee with you in writing before anything starts. A new offer, if any, gets a new version of these terms.
4. Who qualifies
- You run an operating business that currently serves customers.
- You have a recurring workflow involving customers, scheduling, follow-up, operations or content that you want to reduce or improve.
- You are the owner, or you are authorized to discuss that workflow for the business.
- You can share enough to hold the conversation: the tools you use and how the work is done today.
We may decline a request only for these reasons, and we tell you which one applies: it does not meet the criteria above; the business already has an assessment request with us; we cannot reach you after two attempts over 14 days (reply at any time to reopen it); or the request asks for something unlawful or unsafe.
5. Review, capacity and timing
- Kelvin Tran, the founder, reviews every request personally. Our target is a reply within 2 business days (Monday to Friday, Arizona time, excluding US federal holidays).
- Qualified requests are scheduled in the order they were received, within the number of assessments we can deliver well each week. If there is a wait, we tell you the expected date before scheduling, and you can withdraw at any time.
- Our target is to deliver the brief within 5 business days after the conversation. These two targets are commitments, not aspirations: if we are going to miss one, we tell you before the date passes and give you a new one. If we miss one without telling you first, say so and we will give you a new date in writing within one business day. You can withdraw your request at any point, and we will delete what you sent on request.
- A request is not an appointment. A time is only booked once you choose it and our calendar confirms it.
6. Implementation is separate
If you want help implementing anything in the brief, we send a written proposal with the scope, what is configured from existing systems, what is developed for you, dependencies, timeline assumptions and price. Nothing is agreed until both sides sign. Ongoing software access and operations, if any, are a separate agreement.
7. Your brief and your information
The brief is yours to use inside your business, whether or not you work with us. We use the information you share only to review and prepare your assessment and to follow up about it, as described in the privacy notice. Updates by email only if you opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
8. Changes to these terms
We may publish a new version of these terms. Each request is stored with the version in force when it was submitted, and that version applies to it. People who applied earlier under different wording keep the terms they were shown.
