Implementation work · Fresh Touch Med Spa, Ajax, Ontario

The booking button finally books.

Fresh Touch Med Spa had a working checkout system, a strong local reputation and no way for a visitor to book a specific appointment time online. Kijestic closed that gap and cleaned up the search and compliance issues sitting next to it.

Business context

A non-invasive med spa in Durham Region.

Fresh Touch Med Spa is a med spa at 31 Barr Road in Ajax, Ontario, offering laser hair removal, skin tightening, facials and related non-injectable treatments, built on WordPress with WooCommerce for checkout. Before this work began, Fresh Touch already had a 4.7-star rating across 377 Google reviews and ranked first in local search for “microblading Ajax.” That standing predates this engagement and is not a result of it.

The operational problem

The infrastructure to take a booking already existed. Nothing on the site used it.

01

Every call to action dead-ended in a contact form

WooCommerce checkout already worked for spa packages, but no service page let a visitor pick a treatment and a time. “Book Appointment” sent a visitor to a contact form or a phone number instead.

02

Search results carried no real description

Meta descriptions were missing site-wide, so search engines and searchers saw a blank or auto-generated snippet on every page.

03

No structured data, despite the tooling for it

The Rank Math SEO plugin was installed, but no LocalBusiness, Review or FAQ schema was in use anywhere on the site.

04

377 reviews existed and were not shown

The review standing that could reassure a new visitor was not surfaced anywhere on the pages people actually land on.

05

Copy stated absolute medical claims

Treatment pages carried language like “100% accurate,” “completely safe” and “no scars will form” on procedures where a regulator would expect qualified language and results-vary framing.

What Kijestic built

Five changes, each tied to a specific problem on the site.

This is the complete list of work that shipped. No revenue figure, conversion figure or percentage is claimed for any of it.

Problem

Every call to action on every service page ended in a contact form, not a booking.

System change

Online booking added directly to the site.

New workflow

A visitor picks a treatment and a time and books it without leaving the page.

Problem

Meta descriptions were missing site-wide.

System change

Search titles and meta descriptions written for the pages that lacked them.

New workflow

Search results show a real, specific description instead of a blank snippet.

Problem

Rank Math was installed but no structured data was in use.

System change

LocalBusiness, Review and FAQ schema added to the site.

New workflow

Search engines can read the business’s location, hours and review standing directly.

Problem

377 Google reviews existed but were not visible on the site itself.

System change

A reviews badge added to the page.

New workflow

A visitor sees the review standing without leaving the site to look it up.

Problem

Treatment pages stated absolute claims a regulator could challenge.

System change

Compliance-risky medical claims rewritten.

New workflow

Service pages describe treatments without the language that created the exposure.

The booking workflow

Before and after, side by side.

The same visitor, the same intent to book. The difference is how many steps stand between them and a confirmed appointment.

Workflow diagram, reconstructed from the documented audit findings (audit dated June 9, 2026). Not a screenshot of the live site.

What shipped

What went live, stated plainly.

Online booking, the search metadata, the structured data, the reviews badge and the rewritten copy went live on freshtouchmedspa.com as part of this engagement. There is no post-engagement audit on file, so this page does not claim a rescored, re-verified snapshot of the site today, and it does not state a booking count, a revenue figure or a percentage change.

What this demonstrates

Closing the gap between infrastructure and the page asking for it.

WooCommerce was already capable of taking a booking before Kijestic touched the site. Nobody had wired it to the pages that needed it. That is the kind of gap Kijestic looks for: existing tools doing less than they could, because the last connection was never made. The scope was set, shipped and documented like a project, not billed as a subscription.
